Governments, schools, and businesses around the world are taking essential steps to help reduce the spread of COVID-19, including embracing teleworking where possible.
To help you do your job, Software.org is providing the links above to more information on the products and services being made available – many of them for free – that may help government workers, educators, and businesspeople. This will be an evolving effort, and these lists will be updated on an ongoing basis.
In addition to these product and service offerings, software companies are addressing the COVID-19 crisis in a number of other ways, including by: providing advice and often free resources for remote work; directing supercomputing resources and data analytics tools toward virus-related medical research; extending contract terms and subscriptions; preventing the spread of malicious campaigns including email spam, malware, and ransomware; asking employees to work from home and continuing to pay hourly workers who cannot do their jobs remotely; donating to emergency funds; and providing governments with tools and resources to track the virus.
The supporting companies of Software.org and of BSA | The Software Alliance all are taking these steps. More information on those companies and how they are helping address this situation can be found at the links below.
