Software.org Launch Reception

April 4, 2017
Capitol Hill

How do we design polices that stay ahead of cutting-edge technologies? How do we prepare the technological workforce of tomorrow? How do we better support diversity, inclusion, and economic opportunity for all?

Software.org will tackle these challenges head on. As a brand new, nonpartisan international research foundation, our mission is to help policymakers and the public better understand the impact software has on our lives, our economy, and our society.

On April 4, Congressional staffers, foundation board members, industry leaders and press gathered at our Capitol Hill reception to celebrate the launch of Software.org. Reps. Hakeem Jeffries and Doug Collins gave inspiring remarks about the need to keep moving innovation forward. Girls Who Code alumna also shared their stories and called for more diversity in STEM.
