On June 25, Victoria Espinel, president of Software.org, visited our students to tell them about Software.org, share stories from her career, and give them some advice. “I try to put myself in situations where I don’t feel confident,” she told the class, “Because I know that eventually I will not be so scared and might actually enjoy it.” Espinel, who is also president and CEO of BSA | The Software Alliance, has been a sponsor of Girls Who Code since the DC summer immersion program launched in 2015.
