On July 1, Alexandra Reeve Givens, executive director of the Institute for Technology Law & Policy at Georgetown Law, visited the Girls Who Code classroom to share her experience working at the intersection of technology and law. She talked with the students about the benefits and challenges of artificial intelligence and facial recognition technologies and the importance of digital literacy. Georgetown has hosted the Software.org students every year since the DC summer immersion program launched in 2015, including the past two years at Georgetown Law.
