On August 2, our Girls Who Code class woke up bright and early to share stories from their exciting summer with Kidd O’Shea on Good Morning Washington (ABC7/News Channel 8 WJLA). The girls also talked about their final projects, which they’ll present at graduation on August 9. One team is coding a robot that can detect walls and turn on its own, while another team is working on an app for DC residents. “Coding is such an important skill to have today regardless of what field you go into,” President Victoria Espinel told O’Shea.
