On July 16, the Girls Who Code class took a tour of the US Capitol building, where they learned about Congress’ function within the government and the history of the building and its artwork. The tour took them through various historic chambers, including the Rotunda, the Crypt, and the National Statuary Hall. They also learned about the importance of getting involved and making their voices heard, and how advances in technology can empower social movements and bring political change.
