Software.org: the BSA Foundation Hosts Bicameral Congressional Staff Delegation in New York City
June 03, 2025
Software.org: the BSA Foundation hosted a bicameral, bipartisan congressional staff delegation to New York City on May 28-30, 2025. The program provided an educational forum to explore how developments in software, artificial intelligence (AI), and quantum computing are reshaping the economy and society.
The delegation met with representatives from Adobe, Autodesk, IBM, Microsoft, Salesforce, and SAP. Across these meetings, congressional staff learned about how AI is being applied in areas such as cybersecurity, business operations, sustainable design, healthcare, and content integrity.
Two panel discussions, one focused on AI in financial services and another on AI in the arts, offered additional perspectives on how emerging technologies are being considered in different sectors. The delegation also visited a reimagined Broadway theater to observe how digital tools are influencing operational aspects of creative enterprises.
This program was designed to support congressional staff in understanding evolving technologies and their relevance. It emphasized the importance of continued dialogue between government and the private sector to promote informed, responsible approaches to innovation.
